Biography

Dédo discovered stand-up comedy in high school, when an American friend brought him a videotape of Richard Pryor from the United States.

He then has a real passion for this art still little known in France. Dédo then took classical theatre classes in his spare time and passed his first auditions.

After a few roles in theatre, Dédo crossed paths with Kader Aoun in the middle of preparing for the Jamel Comedy Club. He tells him about his dream of doing stand-up comedy and sends him a 4-minute improv teaser.

Kader immediately contacted him again and offered him to participate in the adventure that would lead him to perform on stage from 2006 to 2011, host for a year "Live Comedy Club" show on Le Mouv', and participate in the series Inside Jamel Comedy Club on Canal +.

At the same time, Dedo imposes his off-the-beaten-track humour on the internet with short programmes such as, Vu Par Dédo un Con: film critics or travels around the world (Japan, United States, etc.), The Story Told by Socks, co-written with his accomplice Yacine Belhousse. An immediate hit on the web with several million views, coupled with a critical success with the 2010 prize for Best Web Fiction at the La Rochelle Fiction Festival and the Best Teleshort Prize at the Luchon Festival.

Dédo appears in several successful series (We are not Saints on Comédie; Bref on Canal +) and wrote two one-man shows, which he performed hundreds of times. Dédo is also one of the members of Princesses Léya, a humorous heavy metal band.

In 2021, he begins his tour with Biafine, his third show. That same year, he played the role of Lenny, video game salesman, in seasons 1 and 2 of the comedy series Space Game, broadcast on France 3 Paris Ile de France and on the France.TV platform.

Our company

Frenetic Arts is an audiovisual and film production company that was created in 2007 around a common passion for cinema. We imagined it so that it resembles us and above all that it brings together “frenetic” cinema enthusiasts around discoveries, legends, know-how and audiovisual heritage in general.

Since 2009, we have been developing feature-length documentary projects to raise awareness of the cinema we grew up with and the one that is shaping up for tomorrow. In these projects, we are fortunate to work with wonderful artists and to be able to count on the support of today’s biggest studios.

While special effects and genre cinema play an important role in our business, we also produce institutional films, DVD/Blu-ray special features and specific media for exhibitions or special events.

In recent years, Frenetic Arts has also been at the service of various projects by offering services adapted to the specific needs of companies, institutions or associations: everyone has their own field, their needs, their own universe.

Frenetic Arts is run by Alexandre Poncet and his three partners: Gilles Penso, Dédo and Johann Garcia.
